Seniors for Children & Youth

Did you know? In Singapore, cases of child abuse are on the rise. In order to raise the public’s awareness of children’s protection rights, the Big Love Child Protection Centre launched the Give A Voice campaign. YAH!’s senior volunteers also became advocates of the campaign to contribute to the protection of children. During public outreach events, the volunteers not only led members of the public to do the Goodlife! workout, but also taught children and parents to do handicrafts, while promoting the message of child protection.

Going beyond Singapore, YAH! launched an overseas community service programme in Batam, Indonesia. Senior volunteers would visit local orphanages and interact with local children, teaching them simple Chinese through games and songs.
